Got Vojo?
Vojo is the new mojo! I’m just starting to explore the idea of what this new word means. The word popped in my head when I was thinking of wedding planning (I definitely got my vojo), being a twosome (where’d my vojo go?) empowering women (oh, there it is), and getting my sexy on to try and make a baby (yes, yes yes, YEEEEESSSSSSS…. helllooooo vojo!). My husband got his mojo on, so I wanted to approach being a woman in a whole new way, focused on ME, or better yet, the V. Isn’t a “V” a sign of a woman? So what’s the women’s version of mojo??? VOJO!!!
I’d love to be educated about women and the “V” in art and history. Write to me and tell me what you know!
I’m sure there are so many ways we can get our vojo on. What does vojo mean to you???
yours,
Vida Jane
(you can also call me VJ, is it a coincidence? VJ, Vojo? You decide. I think it was meant to be.
Vida Jane means Life, and God is Gracious, I think vojo can mean that too!)
Great to hear from you! I love that this idea is being explored – no matter how it turns out. The point is for women to feel empowered. And if that’s through mojo, vojo or wojo, or all three, then fantastic! The more the better in my book. I took a look at your blog and love what you are doing too. I’ll definitely be following your input on the subject.

Hi VJ, from Victoria, B.C. Canada!
I stumbled across your website and thought I’d make a comment and say heh we’re on the same page. I’ve just launched a blog called TheMojoProject.com focused on helping women professionals live and work with greater mojo. They can come and post their “Got My Mojo Back” success stories, and start their own mojo project. I am also launching a website called WomenGotMojo.com to start a mojo movement of sorts to support women to live their life’s purpose.
Its an interesting idea to create a new word for vojo in reference to mojo for women. Yet, what I’m hoping to do is define mojo on OUR terms as women. Why does mojo have to be defined as a masculine term? The original definitional never had that connotation, and then indeed it became a more sexualized term refering moreso to men. Austin Powers didn’t help but it was kind of funny.
Why not just redefine it? Take the word back as suhc? That is what I hope to do. And, I think its neat what you’re doing as well. We both have a common interest in helping women connect to their own personal power and “that’s a good thing”.
Best of fun and connection in your blogging and being a new mom.
